2010 BOCI Strikes Gold Rally
September 12th - 17th, 2010
Our 2010 Annual Rally and Business Meeting is just around the corner so make your plans and mark your calendars to join your fellow BOCI members at our 7th Annual Event. This year we will be in the heart of California’s Gold Country at the 49er RV Village Resort in Plymouth, California.
You’ll have plenty of opportunities to visit with old friends and make new ones while enjoying the many activities we have planned. A few of these activities include Technical Seminars, Question and Answer Sessions, Rig Tours, and our ever popular Serendipity Pot Luck Dinner.
There will be games such as Ric & Linda Allen’s Dice Madness and Jack Throne’s Cribbage Tournament, Gayle George-Sackett’s Dog Show and the final night’s campfire sing along. There will be social hours, wine tasting and who knows what else?
We’ve built in a little free time again this year so you may find your gold nugget by visiting some of the many attractions in the area, go shopping, go horseback riding, play golf, go fishing, or participate in some of the onsite activities like Elaine Willoughby’s and Babette Furchak’s cooking class or Lisa Calkins’ and Sue Stinson’s Quilting Group outing or just relax. You’ll receive additional information on all the great things to do in the area at registration.
Some of the attractions in the area are the Historic Kennedy Gold Mine, the Sutter Gold Mine, the Amador Flower Farm, Cavern Tours, local wineries, Calaveras Big Trees State Park, Old Town Sacramento, Sutter’s Fort where gold was first discovered in California, and the Railroad Museum to name just a few of the attractions. There’ll be many options available for your enjoyment.
And, don’t forget our very popular Raffle that just gets better and better every year because of your donations. For our new members (or those of us who have a tendency to forget), a raffle gift may be anything you think others may enjoy or really would like representing your home town or state or specific items made exclusively for our raffle. I’ve already heard about a few planned for this year’s raffle and they are awesome!
We have reserved 80 campsites for the Rally and all sites are available for early arrivals up to 5 nights before and, for those wishing to stay, up to 7 nights after the rally, so sign up early!!!
Those staying after the Rally may enjoy the Blue Grass Festival that starts that Friday at the Amador Fairgrounds located within easy walking distance from the Campground.
Our sites this year are mainly Back-In Sites of approximately 45 feet in length with a few smaller ones. We have only 4 Pull-Through Sites that will be reserved for the larger rigs and those pulling large trailers.
The Club will handle your reservations starting with the 5 Nights before the Rally (Sept 7th) through the 7-Nights after the Rally (Sept 24th). For those taking advantage of the additional reservations before the Rally date of September 12th and/or after the rally up to Sept 24th, please be advised that relocation of your campsite may be necessary, although efforts will be made to avoid relocation of campsites.
If you wish to make reservations at the 49er RV Village before Sept.ember 7th or after Sept.ember 24th, please contact the 49er at 1-800-339-6981 or www.49ervillage.com.
