Bigfoot Custom Kodiak

Custom Kodiak

After receiving our new 2007 40MH35ST the project began.  The coach was ordered as a very "vanilla" rig.  No electronics, no paint, no ladder, etc., etc.  We had decided, after moving through a Beaver Patriot, a Marathon Prevost, and Bigfoot models 29Sl motor home,  25C8.11 truck camper, and a 25B25RQ Travel Trailer that we had enough knowledge to build a motor home that would satisfy most of our needs. Bigfoot was the obvious choice.  Subsequent to ordering our Kodiak at the 2006, Mt. Rushmore Rally from CCRV the rally Co-host, we entered the planning stages for the after market project.  Many features from our previous RVs were included in the final product.  The electronics/electrical project took 11 weeks to complete and the paint work consumed another 6 weeks.  If you have any questions about this conversion feel free to write me at rallen@bigfootowners.com

Hope you enjoy the pictures,

Original console "was recycled".  New console is constructed of molded plywood and LineX.  Holding Linear Logic Scan Gauge and second business band transceiver.  After shake down cruise I decided to move Scan Gauge to dash swapping with a second amateur radio.  Console will be reversed to put radios where I can see them better.  Two folding cup holders are mounted on pax side of console.  Cockpit carpet was replaced with a higher quality black, cut pile carpet with sound proofing under mat.

Prior to painting we applied Linex to roof to provide better traction and eliminate fiber glass chalking dripping down side of coach.
Fender mounted "trucky looking" turn signals have been removed.  Both air intake and front grills have been removed and replace with billeted grills.
Steel battery holder coated with LineX holds four  6VDC Life Line AGM batteries which provide 600 amp hours at 12VDC.  Silver tank above batteries is compressor for "Train" horn.
