Welcome to summer. I sure hope that you've been out enjoying your rigs and the summertime activities. Roxann and I have only been out a couple of times so far this year and saw some great scenery. We also met some wonderful people along the way including a couple of Bigfooters, one in Red Rock Canyon State Park and the other in Bishop.
Your BOCI Team has very busy making the arrangements for our upcoming Rally, selecting a rally site for 2011, putting the final touches on the Membership Identification Number program, putting a list of vendors on our website who donated items to the Club, establishing the website Parts Page and attending to general Club business.
BOCI Strikes Gold!!!
Our Annual Rally and Business Meeting at the 49er RV Village Resort in Plymouth, California is just over 2 months away. If you haven't signed up yet, please do so before the end of July to grab your spot for an exciting and fun rally.
Speaking of exciting and fun, our Group Tour of the area is looking great and the folks at Sutter Creek Visitors Center have been very helpful. It will be a full day adventure with the possibility of some lucky members striking gold!
There's a lot to do in the area on our Free-Time Day also. One may visit one of the many local wineries, take an underground tour of the Sutter Creek Gold Mine, go exploring one of many caverns in the area, head East to the Calavaras Big Trees State Park or Columbia State Park, visit one or two of the historic towns, go antiquing, go horseback riding, play golf, go fishing, learn to cook pasta, just relax at the campground or whatever else may come along.
Back by popular demand is "What you always wanted to know about your RV but were afraid to ask" seminar presented by Steve Grittman of Lafayette Auto Body and RV Service. We'll also have Greg and Deb Holder of AM Solar presenting a seminar on using solar energy to keep our batteries charged while boondocking. We're working on having at least 1 or 2 more seminars for your enjoyment.
As always, there will be plenty of social time to meet old friends and make many new ones. Our Games Nights will include our Annual Cribbage Tournament, Dice Madness and maybe even a pool tournament (there's a great Pool Room at the RV Park with 4 or 6 pool tables) or other ideas that may come along.
Our raffle this year is looking fantastic as we have received many great items from vendors already and, with your raffle gifts it will be awesome. We also have 2 special items that will be raffled off separately on Thursday evening.
We'll be looking forward to seeing you at this exciting and fun filled rally!
See you there!

Bigfoot Industries (2010)
I had a great talk with Grant the other day and he's very excited about having Mike Rosman's RV, Vernon BC as their Canadian Factory Outlet. We picked up our first motorhome from Mike Rosman's and the experience was great. The staff was awesome and took their time walking us through every detail. Grant indicated that they have several interested Dealers in the US which they are evaluating at this time.
The first production units will be coming off the line soon and are the 2500 series 9.4 truck campers for both the short and long bed trucks.
They have been assisting many Bigfoot Owners with service repairs and parts needs and have been overwhelmed by the awesome support for the new company.
If you have questions for Grant and his Team, please give them a call at the factory (1-250-546-2155).
